Water filter Dodola by Pjorkkala and vase collection Pillar by Garnitura featured at this year's Berlin Design Week as part of a special Young Talents exhibition that presents the next generation’s approaches to stimulating and future-oriented product design. The exhibition is an event organised by EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture network.
Water filter Dodola and vase collection Pillar by BIO27 Production Platform teams Pjorkkala and Garnitura will be presented at Young Talents exhibition at this year's Berlin Design Week from 14-17 May at Museum of Decorative Arts, Berlin. Under the theme »Resilience«, the 6th edition of the Berlin Design Week focuses on design as an impulse-giving force for forward-looking change and the basis for future creative viability.
The exhibition Young Talents showcases 22 talented young designers from 8 European countries and presents the next generation's approaches to stimulating and future oriented product design. Dodola’s a ceramic water filter for places where the public water supply isn’t adequate or available by Pjorkkala will be presented in the categories of bio design, health and process, while ceramic vases inspired by Plečnik’s architectural details Pillar by Garnitura team members Brina Steblovnik and Maruša Mazej will be presented as part of the process category. Furthermore, another Slovenian designers Sood Studio and their The Node Collection will be on display at the exhibition as part of exploring the bio design and product category.
The exhibition will open on Sunday, 14 May, at 12.00, and at 16.00 Young Talents: New Sustainability event will take place at Kulturforum hall, where participants will present the sustainability aspects of their work from production to functionality. The exhibition is an event organised by EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture network. One of the members of the network is also Culture Centre of Republic of Slovenia in Berlin SKICA.
