Plečnik’s kiosk, Prešeren’s Square
On display all day and night
The 27th Biennial of Design BIO27 Super Vernaculars between 3 and 23 October presents a special pop-up exhibition in the centre of Ljubljana. Pop-up Exhibition BIO27 Production Platform showcases projects of three of five BIO27 teams that as part of BIO27 tackled pressing issues of local communities and environment.
Plečnik’s kiosk will thus host the multiple award winning 3D printed water filter Dodola by team Pjorkkala, team Krater will exhibit products highlighting the legislative issues of building with locally acquired materials, while team Garnitura’s exhibition explores, how the team tackled the telling of the story of Plečnik's architecture to modern urban dwellers – by devising the interactive Plečnik’s path with QR codes, organising guided tours and creating design products that draw inspiration from Plečnik's architectural legacy.

Following the Pop-up Exhibition BIO27 Production Platform Plečnik’s kiosk will as part of the festival Month of Design 2022 host two-part pop-up exhibition Created in Slovenia by Centre for Creativity (CzK): exhibition Design Dining: Slovenian Tableware Design from 24th to 30th October and exhibition Voyage, Adorno from 31st October to 6th November.
BIO27 Super Vernaculars’ production platform produced in cooperation with Centre for Creativity (CzK), features five Slovenian interdisciplinary teams mentored by internationally acclaimed creatives to tackle compelling problems of local communities and the environment.
