Friday, 29. 11.: School space reflection
In 2018, a series of roundtable discussions took place at the Faculty of Education to discuss critically the current state and development of primary and secondary education in Slovenia. Focus was to criticize neoliberal social trends in education, such as individualization, increase in competitiveness, quantification of knowledge and categorization of learners. Participants thought that the modern school was not paying enough attention to social and emotional learning, collaboration and reciprocity and empowerment to affiliation. To what extent do Faculty of Education studies contribute to these trends? Discussion will be led by prof. Bojan Dekleva and invited guests.
